God of War Movie Ditches Original Game's Ending?
Early reviews of the script for the in-development Supreme Being of State of war movie are locution that the movie is "slavishly accurate" to the first game, leave out for one key aspect: the ending.
There's a screenplay for the War god movie running play free in the wilds of Hollywood right now, and early testimony on the script (penned past Saint David Soul) seems to be pretty positive. Big Ross, a CC2K staffer and someone-announced "Xbox acolyte," got his workforce happening the work and has good news for fans: non only is IT not uncomplete sorry, it's true to the game, "all but slavishly so."
Indeed, his plot outline basically sounds care an overview of what happens in the firstly God of War: Kratos is a captain in the Spartan army whose soul is bound to Ares, the idol of war who tricked Kratos into murdering his own family. Kratos is aided away Athena in his pursuance to get revenge on Ares, and (raider awake if you harbour't played this game, though you probably have) manages to do so with the help of Pandora's Box.
Self's script even has some of the key moments Hera too – information technology sounds like the fight against the Kratos dopplegangers is in the script, and everything is described as having the same heroic qualities present in the secret plan: Ares turns ginormous wish atomic number 2 does in the final struggle, the Hydra's here, etc. Ross says it's like "Clash of the Titans, only taken to the extreme and amped busy satisfy the 21st century sensibilities of males 15-25."
The just big difference, apparently, is a major one. Honest spoiler alert hither. Apparently in Self's hand, instead of becoming the god of war later on killing Ares, instead Kratos dives off a drop (presumably to go to the Hades) and ominously says: "Your turn, Hades…" Sounds like he's going to run short defeat Hades for whatever intellect, which means that credit line's an apparent tease for the sequel. This does non happen in the bet on, as far as I recall.
Now before you go and grab your pitchforks and flaming oodles of hay, know this: scripts aren't static entities in the movie business – they modification, sometimes drastically, over the line of development. God of War is still in development – and we father't know if this is the script that'll be filmed or even off if it'll be filmed at totally. If it does, it could be just like the game leave out for the ending, or it could be nothing like the game except for the closing. I don't mind the either option, really, A elongate as they roam the right gentleman for Kratos and they get the feel of Divinity of War right.
